| Farmstays give guests the opportunity to stay on a huge variety of farms located throughout Australia and New Zealand. Some grow crops such as sugar cane, wheat, cotton, peanuts and sunflowers. Others raise animals such as sheep, cattle, goats or horses and many are mixed farms. Many host families have lived on their properties for several years and have extensive local knowledge. They can often take you to places of interest nearby, or to meet someone with whom you may have something in common. You can enjoy a number of activities on a Farmstay including collecting eggs, feeding the orphan lambs, horse riding, or meeting the resident Kangaroo. |
